For instance, a stone can turn into a magical mountain over which a mysterious hero travels, and a flower petal can become a magical amulet that grants powers.

Lay these findings out on the table and let the child choose which elements will be part of their story. Encourage them to come up with the characters, the setting, and the main plot. You can ask questions to help the child develop the story: “Who lives under this leaf?”, “What secrets does this stone hold?” Once the story is created, encourage the child to present it to the family or friends – it could be a story told with facial expressions, voice imitations, or even small decorations.
